How soon will I receive my order?

Most Solid Ground Stands products are made to order, however we often have some models in stock and ready to ship. If we do not have yours in-stock when you order, we can typically have it ready in 3-4 weeks.

If you would like to confirm the availability of any item before ordering, please feel free to contact us. Once your order is shipped, it generally takes 2-5 days (continental U.S.) to arrive on your doorstep.

What about shipping?

For all domestic USA orders - a flat rate charge for insured shipping will be added to each item in your order at checkout. Most items will be shipped via UPS or USPS. Flat rate insured shipping charges are $25 for stands, $20 for Wall Mounts, $10 for the PickBox, and $5 for the PickDish.

For all other orders (including international orders) - shipping costs will be calculated at checkout and added to your order. They are determined by the shipping company and based upon your shipping address and the size and weight of your order. USPS International Priority Mail is usually the best choice for International orders. Upon checkout, if you do not find options listed for your country, please contact us.

What is your warranty?

All SGS products are fully warranted against any defects in materials or labor for a period of one (1) year from date of purchase. This warranty does not cover misuse, neglect, abuse, or natural disaster. Additionally, variations in appearance and appeal due to wood grain, color, figure, etc., are very subjective and neither warranted nor guaranteed. These items are made using natural organic materials and there will be variations in grain patterns, colors, figure patterns, etc.

Is a Solid Ground Stand easy to fold?

Yes. The simplest way to learn how is to watch the SGS Demo Video . But basically, the “wings” fold back against the sides of the “neck”, and the “leg” pivots so that the magnets in the leg meet the magnets in the wings. The magnets will hold the stand in this closed position for easy storage.

To unfold the stand, simply pivot the leg to the rear to slide apart and release the magnets and let the stand unfold. There are also magnets behind and within the hinges that assist in holding the stand in its open position as you move it around the room.

What kind of finish is on a Solid Ground Stand?

All our products are finished with natural hand-rubbed oil and wax. This traditional fine furniture finish achieves a durable surface with a nicely subdued sheen and a silky feel. It can be refreshed if needed with regular furniture wax.

Will an SGS guitar stand fit my guitar?

Our guitar stands and guitars wall mounts were designed to work with the most common sizes of guitars.

The “standard” opion will comfortably fit the vast majority of acoustic and electric guitars, and even many electric basses.

The “wide” yoke option works best for classical and 12-string guitars, which typically have a wider neck.

Exact yoke dimensions are listed in the Details section on each guitar stand page.

Have an unusual guitar? We can also do custom yokes (like for square neck dobros or flamenco guitars). Just contact us to learn more or if you have any questions.

Can I leave the cable plugged in my guitar while on the stand?

If your acoustic guitar has onboard electronics with an end pin jack for the cable (like on most acoustics with pickups), you can rest assured the cable will not get tweaked when setting your guitar on a Solid Ground Stand. By design, your guitar will sit just high enough off the floor to give plenty of clearance for leaving the cable plugged in.

Will an SGS bass guitar stand fit my bass?

Our bass guitar stands are available in two yoke widths. To select the correct width, just measure the width of the neck at the nut on your bass and select the proper "Yoke Width" selection button when ordering.

The “standard” option will comfortably fit the vast majority of 4-string and 5-string electric basses.

The “wide” yoke option works best for some 5-string and most 6-string basses which typically have a wider neck.

Exact yoke dimensions are listed in the Details section on each bass stand page.

Please contact us if you have any questions.

Will an SGS banjo stand fit my banjo?

Our banjo stands were designed to work with the most common sizes of 4 and 5 string banjos. Exact yoke dimensions are listed in the Details section on each banjo stand page.

Have an unusual banjo? We can also do custom yokes. Just contact us to learn more.

Will an SGS mandolin stand fit my mandolin?

Our mandolin stands were designed to work with the most common sizes of mandolins. Exact yoke dimensions are listed in the Details section on each mandolin stand page. If you have an octave mandolin, or other larger mandolin-type instrument, you may find that our regular guitar stand may fit better.

Have an unusual mandolin? We can also do custom yokes. Just contact us to learn more.

Will an SGS ukulele stand fit my ukulele?

Our ukulele stands were designed to work with the most common sizes of ukuleles. Exact yoke dimensions are listed in the Details section on each ukulele stand page. Some of the larger sized ukuleles may work better on our regular guitar stand.

Have an unusual ukulele? We can also do custom yokes. Just contact us to learn more.

Will a Solid Ground Stand harm the finish on my instrument?

The only points of contact with your instrument are the yoke and a padded bumper on each wing. All three of these contact points are covered with finish friendly genuine suede leather.

Will a Solid Ground Stand stress the neck of my instrument?

When your instrument is placed properly on a Solid Ground Stand, it is held much like it is when you play standing up, with your hand “holding” the neck and the back leaning against you. Your instrument hangs on the stand from the headstock then leans back to rest comfortably against the leather pads on the wings. This 3-contact point arrangement securely holds your instrument without undo stress and prevents it from swinging loosely on the stand.

Will the color and grain of the wood of my stand match the photos?

While the photos shown on our website are very good representations of the appearance of each species of hardwood, keep in mind these are natural materials, and there will be some variation in color and grain.
